Getting Involved

The importace of the B.O.S.S. Project is to build and grow our communities. This can't be done without the help of the entire community. How does everyone get involved? It is easer than you think.

  1. The first step is awareness of the improtance of the B.O.S.S. Project. Our team will be happy to speak to your staff, group, or organization on how the Project works. We will provide an overview of the program, provide brochures, or help you decide how you can help.
  2. Everyone has talents. Where can you fit in? Here's how:
    • Buisiness owners-you can become a mentor to a graduate of the Project. A few hours a week to help guide the newest members of our business community
    • Teachers, instructors, educators, tutors, coaches, trainers-you can help with the workshops, assistance to participants, research, guest speakers, or much needed support of the B.O.S.S. Project.
    • Leaders and elected officials-we need your support to make this program work. Encourage development of this and other fine programs to bring our communities together. A caring community designed to bring people to our area to live and work...together.
    • Financial Institutions and economic development agencies-you understand the hard work required to make a business grow and live.Your support of the B.O.S.S. Project is important. A graduate of the program means that this person has done and acheived due diligence. Please endorse this effort by developing funding programs that support the B.O.S.S. Project and it's associated ideals.
    • Employers-your support is veryimportant to our project and our community. A graduate of the B.O.S.S. Project has done a large amount of research and development of their own work plan of action. They come prepared to work hard for you and will be an excellent asset to your company. Please support our effort by employing the B.O.S.S. Project graduates.
    • Family and friends-home is where the heart is. Your support of the B.O.S.S. Project will motivate and sustain the participants and their allies.
    • Social Service agencies-you have many talented people in your organization. Do you have staff that could become buest speakers, workshop instructors, or support members? We also need your help in recruiting participants in the B.O.S.S. Project.
    • Local, state, and federal government agencies-your continued development of programs that help bring jobs and services to Illinois is an important element in the B.O.S.S. Project. Your financial support is also needed to continue the mission of our program.
